Forklift Truck (counter balance)

Course Objectives

This course is designed to meet the basic training elements defined in the ACOP for industrial counter balance lift trucks. The course does not include specific job training and familiarisation training as required in the ACOP.

Training for other types of lift truck is also available on application e.g. Telescopic Handler and Reach Truck.

Course Content

Candidates will be shown theory and practical aspects covering:

● Operators responsibilities

● Current legislation including LOLER

● Forklift truck safety policies

● Operational safety code

● Daily safety checks

● Vehicle sympathy

● Refuelling/recharging

● Basic hydraulic system

● Practice manoeuvring and stacking

● Load safety requirements

Who should attend – Any operator, or person responsible for, a counter balance lift truck.

Assessment – Candidates will be assessed through written and practical assessments.

Please note: All our courses are delivered in English. All delegates must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to attend this course.

A Certificate of Training will be awarded to each successful candidate.

Duration 1-5 days (dependent on experience of operators)
